As I mentioned some days before I'm preparing the decoration for one of my nieces first birthday party. The theme is Butterflies.

This time I made some butterflies out of wire and torn pantyhose. I plan to use them to decorate the cake since cake decoration is still one of my pending subjects :)

I'm making a tutorial teaching to make this butterflies, and hopefully will be ready in a couple of days.

Birthday Party Decoration: Butterflies

I am working on one of my favourite projects; Birthday Party Decoration!

It's one of my niece's 1st birthday party next month, and I'm in charge of the decoration :) Her mother decided she wanted butterflies as the theme of the party, so I have been picking ideas here and there.

This is what I've got so far...

I used my Silhouette to cut some shapes. I used the shape "basket_butterfly_2_C00588_19210" for the candy baskets, "butterfly_valentine_C00931_20508" for the lollipops and "2d_cutout_butterfly_1_C00743_21585", "3d_cutout_betterfly_2_C00744_21585", "3d_cutout_butterfly_4_C00746_21585" and "3d_cutout_buttterfly_3_C00745_21585" for the 3D butterflies that will be decorating the tables.

One of my new year resolutions is finally start working on some ideas I've had in my mind for a long time... mainly for tutorials, sewing patterns and printables.

So right now, I'm working on some ideas for bags and purses, the first one is a cross body bag for kids and grown ups. I will post more about them here soon, by now I just have some pictures to share.

It's incredible that we are already at the end of the year, it looks like yesterday to me that we were celebrating the beginning of 2011!

This has been a good year; I learned a lot of stuff, I grown up a lot too as a person, which is great, I think I'm a little more patience now that before although I'm still super active and nervous :)

I worked hard (and keep working) to make my little business (Lily bird Studio) grow and add an extra income to my home while sharing ideas at affordable prices with other people, specially the beginner sewers. It also gave me the chance to know some amazing people who helped me to test some of my patterns, we had a great communication and now I feel like I got some new friends, it is great how people get connected.

I finally got the chance to quit my day job and work from home so I can take care of my daughter by myself and be there for her any time.

I also got involved on a program to help people in need; Create HOPE Designs, have the chance to help others makes me so happy, what I do is not much, but I believe that is everyone helps a little this could be a much better place to live.

I usually don't like make a detailed plans on my expectations and goals for next year, because if I don't get to achieve them I feel disappointed and that is not how I want to live. Anyway I have some minor and not so minor goals that I would like to achieve;

- I want to be able to put some organization at home, I would love to get all my chores done, cook healthy and tasty meals every day, entertain my toddler and have enough time to sew and create, I need organization to do all that in a single day.

- I want to learn something new, there is always something usefully to learn

- I want to finally find the time to start 2 little business (soon you will know!!) I have had in my mind for a long time.

The most important event that I foresee for next year is my religious wedding ceremony and reception. My husband and I got married in 2007 but since we went to live on the other side of the world (Malaysia) 1 month after our wedding we didn't have the chance to do the religious ceremony and reception, but it was always on our head, we wanted to do that once we were back in our country, so... we decided to "re-marry" on October 2012! I am so exited about that, I've been dreaming about that day and about the perfect wedding dress since I'm a little girl so it will be like a dream come true. We will "re-marry" on the same day we got married the first time 5 years before, October 19th!

I hope you had a great Christmas! Mine was nice, I spend with my family, mi girl had the chance to spend her first Christmas with her cousins, playing while waiting for Santa.

It's Christmas time again! This year has gone so fast! But is has been a good year around here, with a lot of challenges in many aspects of my life, just how I like it :)

I know this year I didn't post much tutorials and ideas, it was pretty much about my sewing patterns, well... this year I asked Santa for longer days; so since I was a pretty good girl this year I'm confident I will get it and I will have more time for blogging!!! :) No.. well that is not going to happen, it would be nice though, but I'm planning a new year blogging more often sharing new ideas and tutorials.

Some weeks ago she sent me a link to the post she wrote about Kate's Dress. You can read it here; she used a lovely fabric to make a dress for her darling girls.

Mia Skirt

Do you remember the Ben & Mia Pants?

The first attempt for this design was a skirt, a mini skirt with front pockets with piping and wide belt loops. But as colder days came by... I decided to use this design to make a pants instead. Then by coincidence, Maria who helped me test the Ben and Mia pants, suggested me to make the Mia skirt as well.

So here I leave the guidelines on how to use the Ben and Mia Pants to make this skirt. I hope you like it!

You will need:

- Ben & Mia Pants PDF Sewing Pattern
- sewing machine
- outer fabric: cotton, corduroy, denim, etc.
- lining
- thread of matching color
- 30 to 45 inches of cording
- scissors
- pins and safety pin
- 1 inch wide elastic
- 4 medium to big size buttons

Measure:

1. Measure your girls' hip circumference; add 5 inches to that measurement.

In example:

for a hip circumference = 23 inches

the total length of the piece should be = 28 inches

2. Measure your girl from waist line to mid-thigh or whatever is the desired length (do not include seam allowances). Add 1 inches for the hem and 1/4 of seam allowance (that would be 1 1/4 inch total).

In example:

for a skirt lenght of = 12 inches

the total height of the piece should be = 13 1/4 inches

Cut the pieces:

Outer fabric:

- 1 front and 1 back pieces;

width: use the measurement in point 1 divided by 2 (ie: 28 inches/2 = 14 inches)

height: use the measurement in point 2 (ie: 13 1/4 inches)

- 1 waistband;

width: use the measurement in point 1 (ie: 28)

height: 2 inches

- 8 belt loops from pattern (Ben & Mia Pants PDF Sewing Pattern)

- 2 pockets from pattern (Ben & Mia Pants PDF Sewing Pattern)

Lining:

- 1 waistband;

width: use the measurement in point 1 divided in 2 (ie: 28)

height: 2 inches

- 8 belt loops from pattern (Ben & Mia Pants PDF Sewing Pattern)

- 2 pockets from pattern (Ben & Mia Pants PDF Sewing Pattern)

Instructions:

1. Fold the font piece of the skirt in half, measure 1 1/4 inch from the top edge over the folded side. Mark a slightly curved line and cut.

2. Make the belt loops as described from step #1 to #3 in the instructions (Ben & Mia Pants PDF Sewing Pattern).

3. Make the pockets as described from step #6 to #12 in the instructions (Ben & Mia Pants PDF Sewing Pattern).

4. Sew the pockets to the sides of the front piece of the skirt as described in steps #14 to #17 in the instructions (Ben & Mia Pants PDF Sewing Pattern).

5. Take front and back pieces of the skirt together, right sides facing. Sew along the sides.

6. Attach the waistband, belt loops and place elastic as described in steps from #34 to #49 in the instructions (Ben & Mia Pants PDF Sewing Pattern).

7. Fold the bottom edge of the skirt 1/4 inch towards the wrong side and press. Then again 3/4 inch towards the wrong side, press and sew by the edge. See step # 50 and #51 in the instructions (Ben & Mia Pants PDF Sewing Pattern).

8. Sew the buttons on the belt loops.

Party Dresses 2 in 1

1 month ago we had a party and I made a new party dress for Sophia. A classic high waist bubble dress made out of pink satin, with a big black sash and bow made out of gauze and a flower that combines both fabrics.

And 2 weeks ago we had another party and I didn't have the time to work on a new dress. So I came up with an overhauling of the previous dress. For the puffed effect; I just took the outer layer of the skirt, pulled it up and hand stitched to the lining, I repeated this step several times until I got the desired effect.

Ava's Dress is a reversible A-line dress for babies, it is totally open and closes at the back though buttons which makes it really easy to put on. It is perfect for every season, just wear alone on hot days or layer with a shirt t-shirt or light sweater on colder days.

Looking for testers for new pattern

Mona Coat is my last sewing pattern. The perfect coat for this season you can make it from a wide variety of fabrics which makes it lighter or warmer.

It has an storm patch, wide lapel, and sleeve loops which gives it a trench coat style. But the pictures will say more than my words. Check them out!

I am so exited about this announcement!

Today I received an email from a new friend, Kristy from Hopeful Threads. She introduced a new organization named Create H.O.P.E. Designs; it was started in September of 2011 by a group of women with a collective desire to make a difference with their talents. This women are crafters, sewers, designers, create sewing patterns, tutorials and even printables that they donate to Create H.O.P.E. Designs shops; 100% of all the funds generated will benefit designated foundations all around the world serving orphans and their communities.

Right now Create H.O.P.E. Designs benefits China Little Flower; a foundation that takes care of orphans, infants in need to special care and disabled children. Sophia is 3!

Last Friday 30th September my little daughter Sophia turned 3 years old. We had a big party with family and friends.

I made all the decorations, dress, cake, cupcakes by myself.

I made an special garland for this year, with her name and Hello Kitty, I cut all the pieces using my Silhouette, so much better this year that I have this awesome tool! Last year I had to cut each letter by hand (pictures here).

I used some colorful garlands I had from last year, those brought a lot of color to the place. I also simulate helio balloons by placing a double sided tape at the top of the balloon and stick them to the ceiling :) brilliant idea because everyone thought that were actual helio balloons... well... at least until they tried to catch them :D

The food, specially the sweet stuff was a challenge! I had been practicing cake, cupcake and cookies baking and decoration for the last month, but I still have a lot to learn about that. Last year I told myself I would learn cake decoration for the her next birthday party but a whole year passed and I didn't find the time for that. So it will be my challenge for next year and it is already in my TO-DO list: Cake, cupcakes and cookies baking & decoration.

So here is the cake, the topper was made of biscuit, it was the one I made for her 1st birthday (here) when Hello Kitty was my choice and not hers. This year she made things a little easier for me by choosing the same theme.

The cupcakes were filled with strawberry sauce and others with chocolate drops. Decorated with Italian meringue that I mixed with food color. I made come cupcake toppers with scallop and round shapes I cut with my dear silhouette. I also use to cut some cupcake wrappers (scalloped_polka_dot_cupcake_wrapper_C00200_21585).

The cake table was decorated with marshmallows, cupcakes and brochettes made with marshmallows. Each brochette was wrapped with a cellophane bag and had a Hello Kitty at the top that was also cut with Silhouette using I shape I made myself.

I made a magnet with her picture to give the guests as a souvenir. And a big candy style box full of sweets. I used a toilet paper roll, covered with a nice wrapping paper, more wrapping paper in the inside, I filled the tube with sweets and closed both sides with envelope ribbon.

For her dress I used my last sewing pattern Birthday Party Dress. I was exited about her wearing this dress on her special day, but she had to wear a light jacket all the time because it is still a little cold here, and a pair of white pantyhose.

New sewing pattern coming soon! Birthday Party Dress!

This dress was designed for the special occasion of my little girl's birthday party, she is turning 3 in 1 week and I wanted something with ruffles, twirly, stylish and comfortable. Since still is a little cold here I plan to layer with a white long sleeved t-shirt and white panty hose; that I am sure will both soon turn into a grey-brown color, white is not the most recommended color for kids, all right... but I just love white panty hose on my kid.

Finding and Envelope pillowcase tutorial

Last week I went to the supermarket and found they were selling bedsheets per kilogram. That was new for me! Excellent quality Brazilian cotton bedsheets for a quite low price.

My girl's bed is a custom made bed size that I got from my mom's house, so it is not a single bed but is not a double bed either; so single bedsheets will not work, I can either make the sheets myself but I still didn't find cotton fabric here, all what I can find is synthetic fabric specially for bedding. Or I have to get double size bedsheets and cut the top sheet, this way I end up paying a high price for quality bedsheets, re-shaping to make the top sheet fit this bed and "throwing" (well.. that is just a way to say, because I don't throw away even a little scrap of fabric) the rest of the fabric and the extra pillowcase. So I liked this option! I got 2 double size bedsheets; the bottom sheet with elastic and the top sheet which I cut to make it smaller and use the extra fabric to make a pillowcase.

I took some pictures to share a tutorial with you... but while I was looking the correct name for the envelope pillowcase I found a great tutorial from About Sewing, I love the tutorial from that site they are always so clear and useful. So, there is no need to re-do the wheel right? Go here to see the step by step tutorial.

Here is the picture of the finished pillowcase, I loved the color. I also put some butterflies that I cut with my Silhouette on flocked heat transfer material.

The code for this butterfly is "butterfly_C0122" and the colors of the flocked material are Pink and Purple.

Mermaid Costume

I finally finished the instructions to make for the Mermaid Costume... well just the fin actually, I guess once the days are warmer here I will make the other part of the costume :D.

It is really easy to cut and make you should try it for your kids.

You will need:

- fabric (the yardage will depend on the size, but for you to have an idea, for a 3 years size I use less than 1 yard)

- about 1/2 yard of gauze

- elastic (your kid waist circumference - 25%)

- scissors

- pins

- thread of matching color

- sewing machine

Lets start!!

Measure your kid (or you can also use a pant that fits your kid). Take the measurement from waist to feet and the measurement of the waist circumference.

Draft the pattern pieces: I will explain how to draft half piece for each pattern, when you cut the pieces out of fabric you will need to fold the fabric in half and cut the pattern pieces over the fold.

Tail:

1. draft a rectangle where width is 1/4 of the waist circumference measurement + 1 1/2 inch, and height is the measure you took from waist until feet.

2. measure 4 inches from bottom edge. Trace a line as shown in the diagram.

3. Cut along the line your previously drafted.

4. Then you are ready to use this pattern to cut 2 pieces for the tail ON FOLD. So you will have 2 pieces like the one in Diagram step 4.

Fin:

1. Draft a rectangle; 10 inches height and 15 inches width.

2. Measure 1 inch from bottom edge. Draft a slightly curved line; cut along the line.

3. Measure 5 inches from top edge. Draft a straight line; cut along the line.

4. Now you are ready to use this pattern to cut 2 pieces for the fin ON FOLD (as shown in the diagram). Cut 2 pieces out of the same fabric you used for the tail and 2 pieces out of gauze. So you will have 4 pieces like the one in Diagram step 5.

So now you just have to sew the pieces:

1. Take both front pieces of the fin together; main fabric and gauze. Align the edges. Sew a row of long stitches along the top edge (V shape), leave about 3 inches of thread on each end to gather the fabric.
Repeat this step with the back pieces of the fin.

2. Gather the top edge of the fin until it reaches the size of the V shape of the tail.

3. Lay the fin over the tail; so that the outside layer of the fin (gauze) is facing the outside of the tail. Use pins to secure in place and sew along the edge.

4. Take both; front and back pieces together, right side facing. Align the seams and sew along the edge from top of the tail until bottom of the fin.

5. Fold the top edge of the tail 1/4 inch towards the right side and press, the fold 1/2 inch again and press, sew along the edge leaving an opening and sleep an elastic though the opening all the way around the wast. Sew to close the opening and you are done!

Baby Shoes

I have had some busy weeks around here, I am working from home now so I can stay with my daughter a little more, but it looks like days are even shorter than before! I try to manage between work, sewing, spend some time with Sophia and well.... living... so not much time for blogging.

I have been sewing a lot lately, some new sewing patters are coming, but I have been working mainly in winter and school clothes for Sophia, some toys or clothes for toys, specifically clothes for Barbie and other 10 cm tall dolls, do you have an idea how hard is sewing for those skinny tiny dolls? But now the 10 cm dolls has kinder garden clothes and the Barbie has a mermaid costume. Oh yes! We are in mermaid time around here, "we" (reads my almost 3 years old Sophia) have been watching The Little Mermaid a lot, as well as The Little Mermaid 2 and Barbie in a Mermaid Tale and of course after that she wanted to be a mermaid too, so mommy made her a mermaid tail, it went quite good and she still can walk tiny steps, I will be posting about it in the next days.

One year ago almost around this time of the year, I was crazy about sewing baby shoes; see here, here, here... I just love tiny baby stuff, specially shoes.

I made the patterns for those shoes myself from a basic fabric shoes' pattern that I downloaded somewhere I don't remember right now. But this time I got some sewing patterns from people that really knows about the topic; Sweet Pea Patterns and Lena's Patterns, they have lots of gorgeous patterns for baby shoes and baby stuff.

Fabric Flowers

Lately when I want to create something but I don't have enough time to work on a big project I just cut some circles out of fabric, melt the edges and make FLOWERS... I have dozens of them sitting in a box waiting to became a hairband, necklace, decorate a purse, etc...

When I have a little more time I like playing with my camera taking pictures of my new models :) here are some of them...

Bunny baby blankie - Tutorial + Pattern

Isn't it cute when you see a baby attached to a stuffed toy or blankie. Today I want to share this tutorial to make this cute baby blankie, simple to make, and very easy for the baby to grab.

To make this Bunny Baby Blankie you will need:

- white and pink fleece, minky or felt (I have used fleece for this tutorial)

- cotton or more fleece or minky for the blankie

- 2 black beads

- white and black thread

- needle

Cut he pieces:

Download the free pattern here, print it and cut the pieces. You will get:

- 2 pieces for the head

- 2 white pieces for the ears

- 2 pink pieces for the ears

- 2 muzzles (white)

- 2 paw (white)

- 1 nose (pink)

- 2 10x10 inches of fleece/felt piece for the blankie (you can also make one of this pieces out of cotton like I did for this tutorial)

How to make it?

1. Take one white and one pink piece for the ears together, right sides facing and sew along the curved edges, leaving the straight edge open. Turn the ears right side out.

2. Place the ears over the right side of one piece for the head, align the open edge of the ears to the top edge of the head. Stitch to attach the ears to the head. Lay the other piece of the head, right side down. Sew along the curved edge, leaving the straight edge open. Turn right side out.

3. Stuff the head with cotton and close the opening.

4. Take needle and thread (white) and make long stitches along the edges of the muzzles, stuff with cotton and close. Repeat this step to make the paws and nose.

5. Use your fingers to pinch about 1 cm in the middle of the head and sew from side to side (as shown in the picture below) to create the "orbit" of the eyes, you will sew the beads there.

6. Sew the nose it in the middle of the face. Then sew the muzzles one next to each other right below the nose. Sew the beads in the eyes.

7. Wrap the black thread around the paw to make the fingers.

8. Sew the paws on the sides, under the head.

9. Use needle and black thread to make the whiskers.

10. Next you have to make the blankie by taking the fleece and cotton fabric together, right sides facing, sew along the sides leaving a 2 inches opening.

Turn the blankie right side out though the opening, sleep stitch to close it and then top stitch along the edge (this last step is optional).

Finally sew the bunny to the blankie and it's done!

You can enlarge the pattern pieces and measurements for the blankie to the desired size.

Tutorial: Stuffed Owl

Finally I have finished the pattern and instructions to make this stuffed toy.

For the owls in the pictures below I have used corduroy for the body, cotton for the wings and felt for eyes, beak and feet. But you can use any kind of fabric of your choice.

You will need:

- approximately 8 x 12 inches of fabric

- scraps of fabric for the wings, feet, beak and eyes (I recommend to you felt for the feet since you don't need to finish the edges)

- 2 buttons

- thread

- needle

- sewing machine

Pattern:

Click here to download the free pattern. Print the pattern and cut the pieces along the full lines.

Cut the pieces:

Use the pattern to cut the pieces. Next you have the diagram for 2 slightly different owls, the first one with one eye bigger than the other, I think this option looks kind of cute when finished. The second one has both eyes the same size.

Steps:

Set your machine to a short zig-zag.

1. Take both pieces for each eye together, sew along the edge to attach the smaller piece to the bigger piece. Repeat this step to make the other eye.

2. Place the eyes over the body and sew along the edge.

3. Sew one button on each eye.

4. Attach the beak, wings and feet.

Now set your sewing machine to a regular straight stitch.

5. Take both pieces for the body right sides facing. Sew along the edge leaving an opening at the bottom (as shown by the dotted lines in the pattern). Clip cut the seam allowance in the curved edges (it will make it look better when to turn it right side out).

6. Turn the owl right side out.

7. Stuff the owl with cotton or any other material.

8. Slip stitch to close the opening, you can use the sewing machine as well, but I think slip stitching looks better.

Sophia Dress - Photo Shoot

We had a photo shoot today with Sophia modeling some of dresses I've made; Sophia Dress, Katrina Dress and a new one is coming soon that doesn't have a name yet ;)

I still have to practice my shoots with my new camera, well... not that new I have it since September, but I haven't had time to try it, first I HAVE TO read the user manual :( so boring! I'll get into it sometime before the end of this... year? ok month...

The first pictures will be for Sophia Dress. A classic dress, with a simple bodice buttoned at the back and a wide circular skirt. My girl loves dancing like a ballerina every time she wears that dress.

This flower is very easy to make and very similar to the one I posted yesterday.
I made this flower out of gauze and hot glued to a hairband, I also hot glued a piece of felt at the back to secure the hairband and have it a better finishing.

How to make it:

Fabric flower week day #1

As you may have already seen in this blog... I love making fabric flowers.
So this week I'll be posting some fabric flowers I've done some days ago...

This is a gauze flower attached to a headband.

How to make it:

1. Cut a 11 x 3.5 in strip of gauze (or any other light fabric)
2. Fold the fabric in half bringing long sides together
3. Use needle an thread to make long stitches along the not folded edge
4. Pull the thread to gather the fabric
5. Start from one end, overlap the fabric to form an espiral
6. Stitch to secure in place and sew or hot glue a button in the center

Party Dress

Some days ago I posted a tutorial to make fabric flowers (here). Those fabric flowers were born because I needed some nice and cute something to match with Sophia's dress for this party we had...

I forgot to take pictures after I finish the dress, and then we were so busy that the day of the party came, and I didn't took the pictures, so Sophia wore the dress, the dress end up all dirty as it should be with little girls and I stayed a long time to put it in the washing machine, and iron it... finally I could take some pictures last week end, and it took me until today to download the pictures... this days are so short! I really need my staying at home times back ;)

I've recived an awards from Mrs Sassy Crafter!!! I'm so honored. Thank you so much!
I've been so busy lately, I got a job out of my home, so when I get home I try to manage to do house stuff, create more patterns for my shop, write new contents for my blog and the most important spend good time with my little girl and my family.... not easy at all!

So when I received this message from Mrs Sassy Crafter saying I got an award it was great, to know that even when my blog is not updated everyday with great project she thinks about my blog for an award. Thank you! It makes me want to sleep less and craft more! :)

SEVEN things about myself:

1. I used to be an staying at home mom since my little girl was born, now I'm back at work since 2 months ago... I like having my own individual life back, but I had a really hard time getting used to leave my 2 years old in the school for so long. Now it is still hard sometimes, although I know she enjoys school playing with other kids. But after all if I could choose I'd stay at home with her and crafting all my spare time.

2. I was born in Uruguay, and 2 months after I got married I went to live in Malaysia, it was a terrible cultural shock, and I know I complained more that usual (poor hubby) but when I got used to all the cultural differences I loved there. I'd love to go back some day.

3. I LOVE eating pizza!! Pizza is never too much for me.

4. I'm scared of spiders.

5. I don't like exercising, and I like sports even less. But.... I'm about to start gym again in the next few days... it's necessary but I's going to be pain.

6. I hate cigarette smoke, I feel I could kill the person that si smoking next to me or my daughter... I know is a bit too much but what can I do, I feel is not fair have to breath that smoke...

7. I love reading, once I start reading a book I can't stop, and I get so into the stories that after I finish the book I use to miss the characters... I definitely prefer reading and watching movies.

New Pattern: Sleeveless blouse

This sleeveless blouse with gathered shoulders it's perfect to wear with pants or jeans.

This pdf pattern also contains the instructions to make a cute fabric flower that matches with the blouse.

Tutorial: fabric flower

A few days ago, I received an invitation for a guest post at The Sassy Crafter then I decided to prepare a tutorial with the instructions to make this fabric flower.

I came up with this flower last week because we had a party and I needed some headband or clip to match with Sophia's dress. And here is the result...

I also made 2 more for my nieces.

And now I'm glad to share this tutorial with you! I hope you like it!!!

You will need:
- synthetic fabric or any fabric that will melt
- needle and thread
- button
- cnadle or lighter

You will have to:

1. Cut 6 circles of fabric all of them the same size (they don’t need to be perfect circles)

2. Use the flame of a candle or lighter to slightly melt the edges of the circles. It takes just a second for the fabric to melt, so do it quickly.

3. Take one circle for the base

4. Take 2 more circles and fold them in half.

5. Place them over the first circle, so that both folded circles together form a complete circle. Use needle and thread to sew them together.

6. Take 2 more circles and fold them in half. Place them over the previous layer of folded circles, so that both folded circles together form a complete circle again, this time in different direction than the previous layer.

7. Use needle and thread to sew them together.

8. Then place the last circle over the last layer of folded circles and sew all together.

9. You can make another smaller flower following the steps from 1 to 9 and sew it to the first flower.

10. Finally cover a button and sew (or hot glue) it to the center of the flower.

And you're done!

You can hot glue the flowers to a headband, clip or even a pin.

I can't believe we are in the last day of 2010! This year has gone really fast! It has been a little crazy sometimes but it has been a good year. I've done many things I wanted to do, I've learned things I wanted to learn, and I've added lots of items to my TO DO list for next year.

I just wanted to wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Pink dress - Pattern

I've a new product in my shop.

This cute Pink dress is quite similar to Little Lady Dress. But this one has a wide hem and a big bow in the neck what makes it so cute and girly.

The fabric I used for this particular dress is from Amy Butler, I LOVE this fabrics, I can't find designer fabrics here, this was a gift from my sister in law and I wanted to use it in a special, cute dress that Sophia could wear many times, and that's how this patter was born. I'm very happy with the result, she will wear it millions of times this summer!

Cellphone pouch

I've made a new cellphone pouch (you can see some more I made before + link to the tutorial here).

I used a little scrap of fabric to make the flower and I think it turned out very cute.

The hot days are finally here and Sophia doesn't fit on almost any of her summer clothes. So yesterday I made some shorts out of the pattern Simple 30 minutes shorts II.
